My Training Schedule

This is my personalized training plan, which officially begins on Sunday, Dec 6th. The schedule below is a modification of Hal Higdon’s novice marathon training program that I’ve intermixed with some races in the next few months to get myself back into racing mode. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email me. I love hearing feedback from other people about my training! :)

i did the same plan for my first marathon-loved hal! if ever have a question, go to his training forums on trainingpeaks.com i asked a question and got a response from hal himself! (or at least a very good impostor!!)
have you run other marathons? or are you running boston for charity?

Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve done 1 marathon before: the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco in Fall of 2007. It was actually my first race ever! I had just started running in May 2007. I did the training through the Team in Training program and I raised money the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. And I am doing Boston for charity since it will be a loooong time before I ever *hopefully* qualify! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep following my blog! How many marathons have you run? Happy running! :)

    Hi Patricia,

I just came across your blog and live in Boston. I am also training for the Boston Marathon. I see Body Pump on your schedule – do you belong to HW too? I do as well. I am a member of Cambridge. Let me know if you want to run sometime. My last half was done at a 8:30 pace. I have a killer interval plan that kicks butt!

      Hi Kerry!
Thanks for stopping by! Btw, how did you find my blog?

Anyhow, I do belong to Healthworks. I go to the Back Bay club but can go to any of them-just the most convenient for me to go there. I absolutely love Body Pump! :)

I would definitely love to run with you but I think you’re a bit faster than me! My best half was back in May (Boston Run to Remember) at an 8:50 pace. And now I have been running my long ones at around 9/9:20ish pace. But would love to train with you-i wanna get faster!

Thanks again for stopping by and hope you’re having a great 2010 so far!

      Patricia
